How we review and correct

WorkWise is a small site. Almost everything here is written and edited by one person, so being clear about how that works — and where its limits are — is fairer to you than implying a large review team.

What "we tested it" means here

We use three labels, and we try to apply them honestly:

  • Personally tested — a product the author has owned and used for a meaningful period of time, not simply unboxed.
  • Long-term owner feedback — we have not used it ourselves, but we have relied on a substantial volume of verified long-term owner reports plus manufacturer specifications.
  • Research-based — the recommendation rests on published ergonomics or clinical guidance rather than hands-on time.

Where an article relies on the second or third, it says so. We would rather tell you the limits of our evidence than present an inference as an experience we did not have.

How long before we recommend something

We aim for a minimum of several weeks of regular use before a product appears in a buying guide, and longer where the category allows it. We do not accept products in exchange for coverage, and we do not take payment to change a ranking. If a product disappoints, we would rather say so than quietly drop it.

How we make money

Through affiliate commissions and display advertising. Neither changes what we recommend. Commission rates are not disclosed to us per product, and we do not choose a product because it pays more. Full detail is on our affiliate disclosure page.

Prices and accuracy

Prices, specifications and availability change constantly and are controlled by the retailer, not by us. We cannot guarantee that a price shown here is the price you will see at checkout, and we do not control which page a product link takes you to. Always confirm current details on the retailer's page, particularly for anything safety- or health-related.

Corrections

If something we published is wrong, we want to fix it. Email hello@workwisesetup.com or use the contact form.

When we correct a factual error we update the article and adjust its review date. Where a correction is significant we note the change at the foot of the article. Corrections made after publication are a normal part of the work, not something to hide.

Health-related content

Our ergonomics and posture content is general information. It is not medical advice and creates no relationship with a healthcare professional. Persistent pain or injury warrants a qualified professional.
